Station Club Enterprises (SCE) is an Adult Developmental Vocational Program, commonly known as an ADVP, a day service which provides pre-vocational services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, have multiple and complex needs and choose to work in a pre-vocational, facility based environment (day program). The service is designed to maximize each individuals pre-vocational potential and also provide meaningful leisure and social activities consistent with each person’s needs and choices. All activities and services of the ADVP are designed to adhere to the principles of normalization and community integration.
Programs offered at Station Club Enterprise:
Horticulture – Individuals receive hands-on experience in the sequencing of plant propagation. Planting, growing and caring for live plants. In addition, individuals have the opportunity to participate in horticulture related activities and projects.
Community Contract Work (Sub-contracts) – Various levels of skills and safety are addressed in our sub-contract work rooms. Individuals have the opportunity to participate in job tasks such as; envelope stuffing and sealing, bagging of small items, direct mailing and much more. In addition to our community contracts, we offer paid work in the production of our “Prime Products” such as;
Document Shredding – Individuals receive experience in the production of document and paper shredding, while using OSHA approved commercial shredders.
Wood Shop – Individuals have the opportunity to learn various tasks and safety procedures related to building outdoor furniture.
Candy Bouquet – Individuals receive hands-on experience in the production of made to order candy bouquets for sale to the public. This product offers individuals the opportunity to participate at various levels in the work steps that culminate in a completed candy bouquet.
Greeting Cards / Wall Calendars - Individuals receive hands-on experience in the production of greeting cards with the cover art work they created. This product provides individuals with the opportunity to cut, crease, fold, sort, count, box and label greeting cards and printed calendars for sale to the public.
Janitorial Training – Individual receive hands-on experience in the different aspects of building cleaning. This program is broken into various ability levels and provides opportunities to learn the sequencing of the cleaning process.
Wellness / Leisure / Social – Beyond the recognized pre-vocational needs addressed, we also consider the wellness needs and wants of the individual. Opportunities of choice are available to participate in any programs that speak to other of life’s needs such as, art, music and dance, sign language, light exercise programs, volunteer opportunities, ways of giving back to the community and presentations of individual driven topics of interest.
