Position Overview
The Accounts Receivable Clerk will be responsible for processing and tracking incoming payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting the billing process with a focus on Medicaid. This role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively with both internal staff and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
· Prepare, review, and post accounts receivable transactions.
· Process Medicaid billing and ensure claims (including 837 electronic claim submissions) are submitted accurately and on time.
· Monitor accounts for payment status; follow up on outstanding invoices.
· Reconcile accounts receivable balances and resolve discrepancies.
· Maintain accurate documentation of all receivables and billing activity.
· Generate and update reports in Excel for management review.
· Assist with month-end closing and other accounting tasks as needed.
Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or coursework in accounting preferred.
· Previous experience in accounts receivable, billing, or accounting support.
· Familiarity with Medicaid billing procedures, including 837 claim formats, is strongly preferred.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfort with general office software.
· Understanding of basic accounting principles (debits, credits, reconciliation).
· Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
· Good communication and problem-solving skills.

· Full-time position based in Hubert, NC.
· Compensation commensurate with experience.
